GU Health Care @ Home

Offer our patients recovery or treatment from the comfort of their home.

Chemotherapy

We’ve partnered with Kinship and View Health chemo@home to give our members the opportunity to receive IV chemotherapy* treatments from the comfort of their home.

Rest assured, you will maintain full clinical oversight of all your GU Health patient’s health care if you choose to offer these services to your patients.

How it works

Register online with one of GU Health's service providers Kinship or ViewHealth chemo@home.

Once registered you can submit referrals for home-based care, including ordering scripts for your GU Health patients.

The service provider will contact your patient to provide more details about the treatment and ask some administrative questions. They will also check their eligibility with GU Health on your behalf.

Once approved, the first 1-3 infusions will usually take place as an inpatient to manage any adverse reactions to the initial treatment. You may choose to transition to home based care sooner when clinically appropriate.

Prescribed compound medication is ordered to the nearest pharmacy under safe cold chain protocols for collection by the service provider.

Your GU Health patient receives treatment from the comfort of their home from a registered nurse.*

You will receive an update within 24 hours via the service providers portal.

You can review your patient's treatment plan every 3-6 months or sooner if clinically necessary.
You will maintain clinical oversight over your GU Health patients, including the dosage and medication.

*In home treatment follows the protocols outlined in section 69-10 of the Act.
