As a member of GU Health, your employees can enjoy a great health cover product together with a superior level of customer service.

Some benefits of membership include:

  • Percentage of cost rebates. With most GU Health extras covers, members can claim back a percentage of the actual cost of the treatment or service - some pay up to 100%. Most other funds pay up to a fixed benefit whereas we pay benefits based on how much it costs our members (annual limits do apply).

  • Freedom to choose practitioners. Provided a practitioner is registered with GU Health (which means we have been able to verify their qualifications) we pay full entitlements for all practitioners - there’s no preferred provider list.

  • Clear member communications. We deliver clear membership and product information to our members, which helps to make their health cover easier to understand.

  • Caring and competent customer service. We treat our members as individual people.

  • Convenient ways to keep in touch. All enquiries and transactions can be handled by FreeCall, FreeFax or FreePost.

  • Cover if your employee leaves your organisation. GU Health members don’t like to leave the fund after they’ve experienced the benefits of membership. So if an employee leaves your organisation they can transfer from the company health plan to an individual membership.

  • Access Gap Cover. All members with a GU Health hospital cover are eligible to use this program, designed to eliminate or reduce the medical gap.

  • Member Support Program. This free service is designed to ease the transition for members from hospital to home.
